Author Guidelines

REQUIREMENTS TO ARTICLES FOR PUBLICATION
IN THE ELECTRONIC EDITION “BUSINESS STRATEGIES”

1. Article must be original and not previously published in the ELECTRONIC form (earlier publications in the printed version are allowed), must include an author's contribution to the formulation and development of a scientific problem, contain elements of scientific and informational innovation and correspond to the scientific fields of magazine.

The subject matters of the website sections are: strategic management, search for competitive advantages; management of innovations and entrepreneurship; management of effectiveness and efficiency; human capital; power and control in the company; strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions; dynamics of social and economic systems; information resources management of a company; global business, management in a multicultural environment; planning and forecasting.

2. Articles of students, graduate students, postgraduates and candidates for a Ph.D. degree are accepted for consideration with a recommendation of a scientific supervisor.

4. Requirements for the execution of article:

4.1. To prepare the text of the article you should use Microsoft Word text editor and Times New Roman typestyle. The maximum size of the article is one author's page (40 000 printed characters, including spaces). The maximum size of a file attached to the registration form is no more than 5 MB. The name of a file should contain the author's name.

4.2. Font size - 12 pt. Formatting - alignment across the width of the page. Line spacing – 1.5 cm, indented line - 1 cm.

4.3. Materials in the article should be set out in the following sequence:

- Title (in Russian and English languages)

- The names and initials of authors - in Russian and English

- Name of the organization (if any)

- Annotation to the article (in Russian and English)

- Keywords (in Russian and English) 5-7 words, phrases

- The text of the article (in Russian only)

Styling should be usual. While typing you should not use a hard hyphenation with hyphen. Any symbols and abbreviations should be disclosed at their first appearance in the text. Sections and subsections of the article should be numbered in Arabic numerals and typed in bold face.

Tables

Tables in the text should be made in the Microsoft Word editor (not scanned and not as a picture). Tables should be located within the working area.

Illustrations

Graphs and diagrams preferably should be done in Excel (also available formats EPS, AI, CDR). If there are scanned images in the text, they should have a resolution at least 300 dpi. Signatures below graphs, diagrams and other images are required. Formatting for the name and number of the figure should be: normal typestyle, font size - 11 pt., center alignment, line spacing - single. Please note that you should not put a dot at the end of a name of the figure!

Reference list

Reference list should be placed at the end of the article. Font size - 12 pt., formatting - alignment across the width of the page.

[1] Last name and initials of the author / authors (in italics), title, outcoming data including the name of the publisher, etc.

Example of filling of a reference list:

For books:

[1] Zub A.T. Management of organizational crises.

University Humanitarian Lyceum, 2003, Moscow.

[2] Petrunin Y.Y., Borisov V.K. Business ethics. Case, 2000, Moscow.

7. The decision of publishing of the article is to be made after the independent peer review.

8. Please note: The Editorial Board reserves the right not to include in the magazine articles that do not correspond the requirements (including the subject, the size of text and design of tables and illustrations).

9. The materials of the article are published after editing. Layouts of the magazine are not considered for approval by the author.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Privacy Statement

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
