FROM LAND INSURANCE IN RUSSIA TO MASS RISK MANAGEMENT

Abstract
The article discusses land insurance as a way to manage massive risks. The author examines in detail the concept of risk and touches upon the structure of the formation of the concept of mass risk management. This allows us to examine in more detail the system of zemstvo insurance in the second half of the 19th century and understand the degree of influence of this type of mutual insurance on the further stages of the formation of the modern insurance market in Russia.
