ON THE AMBIGUOUSNESS OF THE STATUS OF THE CORE ENTERPRISES

Abstract
The article describes the features of the core enterprises. The correlation between two definition, «company town» and «core enterprise», has been revealed. In the article approaches to the definition of core enterprises are considered and analysed. The main role of the core enterprises in the socio-economic system of the municipality has been determined.
