The article presents the results of research of the author in the field of assessing the level of training of leaders and managers of small businesses of Moscow conducted during workshops on logistics planning. The author gives recommendations on the need to incorporate the regional factor in the logistics planning. On a practical example examines the impact of the regional factor in the projected logistics system.

Many indicators of customer can calculate the transactional system, such as information on accounts, postings, customers and regulatory background. But if the company uses several transactional systems and has many branches, there is a duplication of customer information. CDI-system helps eliminate duplication of this information.

In the second part of the article we propose a model of intellectual capital, which is regarded as a "storage" of accumulated enterprise's knowledge, which is updated and used by means of "flows" - the processes of knowledge management. Creating value through intellectual capital is due to increase the efficiency of the organization, improve its dynamic capabilities, and generate different types of innovations, so the ability to manage changes plays significant role in organization.

The article is dedicated to the research into the peculiarities of strategy development for company’s international business purposes. Sequence of strategic planning process phases during international strategy development doesn’t get any fundamental changes in comparison to traditional approach applied in strategic management, but every phase gains new context. Additional tasks determined by international peculiarity of company’s activities should be taken into consideration during the development of international company’s mission, vision, strategic goals, internal and external environment analysis. Formulation and strategic choice happens not just within pyramid of strategies but includes the development of international strategic alternatives and internationalization strategies.

The article analyzes the criteria for classifying businesses to large, small and medium enterprises in different countries, including in Russia, the CIS, Europe, USA and Japan. These differences are not accidental, they are created by different concepts of small business and its role in the economic structure. Formed criteria are the result of the functioning of the economic and social systems. Practical interest in the article may be for researchers engaged in cross-country comparison of the activity of small and medium-sized businesses.

The article discusses the current state of the Russian oil complex, as well as the evolution of its development. The structure of the Russian oil complex in accordance with the theory of institutionalism define its main challenges and trends.
It was found that the basis of extensive growth of the Russian oil refining industry is the economic trilemma "pricing environment, the distribution of the tax burden between production and processing, which generates economic benefits in the form of higher profit margin from refining crude oil to petroleum products.
